Freedom Premium Trauma Cover is an optional additional benefit available with Freedom Premium Life Cover. This insurance provides a lump sum payment of up to $225,000 if you suffer any one of 17 specified medical conditions including cancer, heart attack and stroke. The payment is designed to assist you in meeting your ongoing financial obligations whilst you recover from a serious illness or injury but can be used for any purpose.
To be eligible for Freedom Premium Trauma Cover you must be an Australian Resident aged 18 – 60 and also be covered under a Freedom Premium Life Cover policy. The payment of a Premium Trauma Cover benefit automatically reduces the benefit payable under your Premium Life Cover and therefore your Premium Trauma Cover benefit amount can’t be more than your Premium Life Cover benefit amount.
Provided you meet the simple eligibility requirements and you are able to answer some simple health questions to the Insurer’s satisfaction, your application will be automatically accepted.
